Senior Program Manager, MENA Media and Technology Programs

The Senior Program Manager (SPM) for MENA Programs will manage DT Institute's media and
technology projects across the Middle East and North Africa region. The SPM will manage all facets 
of program implementation, including program delivery, project and financial management, partner 
relations, and compliance with donor regulations. This role requires a strong emphasis on strategic 
planning, development of new initiatives, and advocacy related to the MENA region, and particularly 
Iran.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of media and technology programs, ensuring strategic alignment and coherence with broader organizational objectives.
  • Lead and direct program teams, promoting a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Actively engage in strategic planning for program development and expansion within the MENA region and particularly Iran.
  • Represent the MENA programs that focus on media and technology in both internal and external forums, advocating for DT Institute's mission and strategic interests.
  • Foster effective stakeholder engagement and develop comprehensive communication strategies.
  • Oversee the evaluation of programs and integrate findings into future planning and execution.
  • Manage the lifecycle of sub-grants from proposal development to reporting and closure, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements.
  • Support the development of project proposals, aligning them with both DT Institute's goals and donor expectations.
  • Contribute to DT Institute's website content, blogs, policy papers and other communication materials.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in international development, business administration, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in international relations or development is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in program management, with specific experience in media, technology, and human rights projects.
  • Experience in implementing technology, media, and human rights projects.
  • Proven track record managing programs funded by entities such as DOS and USAID, particularly in conflict or politically sensitive environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including all phases of project management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Fluency in Persian.
Desired Qualifications:
•  Master's degree in a relevant field such as international relations or development.
•  Experience in partnership development and fundraising.
•  Experience in training and capacity building.
•  Fluency in another language relevant to the MENA region
•  Familiarity with civic technology
